Treatment for deep decay

You may take cavities lightly just because there is no serious pain. By the time people begin feeling pain, the cavity may be in an advanced stage or multiple cavities may have spread all over the mouth. Most think that all deep cavities have to be extracted.

Treatment without extraction

A decade ago a tooth with deep decay used to be extracted. Along with the advanced dental technology most treatment aims at keeping as many teeth as possible. Various treatments have been developed in recent years.

You won’t have to loose even a deep decayed tooth with an integrated diagnose and treatment plan.

Example of treatment I (37-year-old male patient)
deep decay
Before treatment

The patient had a mouth full of decay. It might seem that all the teeth should be removed, but we were able to save the teeth by a crown lengthening procedure.

After treatment

The structures of all teeth were extended with crowns. Because each one of the teeth was weak, all teeth were bonded to support each another. No single tooth was extracted.

Example of treatment II (33-year-old female patient)

This patient also had a mouth full of decay, and especially the upper teeth were bad condition. Because the roots were still strong, we decided to perform crown lengthening procedure.
